Our mission is to help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized instruction with measurable results.
Our volunteers are trained to tutor students who are struggling at reading. This includes read alouds, following the Reading Partners curriculum, and taking notes to document student progress. We ask for a willingness to learn about tutoring strategies, the ability to commit to a weekly schedule, and the ability to be an effective and professional role model for the students we serve.

Reading Partners empowers community volunteers to tutor struggling K-5 students, equipping them with the literacy skills they need in school and beyond. Our volunteers are trained to use the Reading Partners curriculum, which is easy-to-use and designed for those without previous teaching experience. Our site coordinators are always available for daily tutor and student support. To learn more about volunteering with us, visit ReadingPartners.org
Spanish speakers are not necessary to the program but are always welcome.
